Welcome to Benson and Ewelme Churches.
We are five churches in beautiful South Oxfordshire. We seek to worship God in spirit and in truth in every aspect of our lives, and to bless our villages with God's love and kindness.

The Revd Dr Patrick Gilday became the first Rector of Benson with Ewelme in 2017, having served previously as a curate in Ascot in Berkshire. Before training for ordination, Patrick was a musicologist and musician, with a brief stint working in the National Health Service on an ill-fated IT project.
Patrick and his wife live in Benson with their two young children.
The Revd Stephen Cousins became Priest Pastor in 2019. He was previously chaplain of a secondary school and has served in various parishes across Oxfordshire and Berkshire during the last two decades.
Fr Stephen and his wife live in Ewelme, and he heads up the Pastoral Care team across the benefice.
It is once again compulsory to wear a face mask in church, unless you are exempt. Please make sure to have a mask with you whenever you come into church, and please keep your mask on throughout the service. Thank you! Let's keep our villages safe.
