Benson, Cuxham, and Ewelme churches, as well as Brightwell Baldwin Village Hall, will all be open for private prayers and to leave messages of condolence on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th April.
Please observe social distancing, and make sure you stay Covid-secure in church.
A national vigil service will be held in London on the evening of Saturday, 10th April, and prayers will be said in the Benefice for the Duke, the Queen, and the Royal Family at the service on Sunday morning (St Helen’s, Benson, at 9.30am - all are welcome).
Further information will be posted on this page as soon as it becomes available.
In the meantime, you may like to say the following prayer:
Lord our God, lover of souls,
you give light to those who walk in the shadow of death.
Remember your faithful servant, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Receive him into your loving arms, that for him,
death may be the gate to life in your eternal presence;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, world without end.
Amen.
